DAYC in Action 2023-24

In the 2023-24 financial year, we provided 1824 hours of free disability advocacy, including assisting people to meet access to the NDIS, review their NDIS plans, assisting with AAT, connecting people with supports and applying for the Disability Support Pension. 

We also partnered with organisations to provide free advocacy and education to those struggling with mental health issues, domestic violence,  as well as alcohol and other drug addiction.

We provided 26 Hours of educational workshops to GP's, Specialists, Allied Health Clinics, and Alcohol and Other Drug Rehabilitation facilities.

We donated $7063.90 worth of assessments to support people in meeting access to the NDIS and Disability Support Pension.

We awarded $32,423 in Scholarships for children with disabilities , aiming to increase their educational opportunities and future career prospects.

We collaborated with 3 Gold Coast schools to provide 720hrs of no-cost programs specifically designed for children with disabilities.
